Led by Kai-Uwe Jarr, M.D.

Mission

Despite the transformative impact of lipid-lowering and anti-hypertensive therapies, cardiovascular disease remains the primary driver of global mortality. Existing standards of care have significantly improved patient outcomes, yet the residual risk persists, and the global burden remains unsurpassed.

Our laboratory investigates the intricate mechanisms by which immune cells drive pathogenesis, aiming to precisely target maladaptive inflammatory pathways. Ultimately, we seek to resolve chronic inflammation by harnessing the untapped potential of immunotherapy.
